| Corporate Profile Lowell Adkins Lowell
Adkins is Vice President for Consulting of The Duvall Group, Inc. Recognized
as one of the pioneers in the development and implementation of campus card
systems, Lowell has worked in higher education throughout his career and
continuously since 1981. In July of that year, Lowell became Assistant
Director, Support Services for Duke University Dining Services. In
1989, Lowell became Administrative Manager of the DukeCard Office and in
1996 the Director of the DukeCard System. In these roles, he managed the
strategic planning, design, and implementation of various modules of the
campus card system including dining services, bookstores, vending, copiers,
laundry, campus activities, off-campus merchants, security, and compliance
with Regulation E and other federal regulations related to campus card
systems. Under his direction, the program expanded to become one of the most
complex and comprehensive campus card programs in the United States. Lowell has provided consulting services to a number
of colleges and universities and industry organizations. He has presented
papers and conducted workshops and seminars at various regional, national,
and international events, including, NACUBO, NACAS, NACCU and CardTech/SecurTech.
Lowell assisted in the establishment of the national office of NACCU. In 1997, Lowell was recruited to join the management
team of the CampusWide division of AT&T as Director of Product
Development. He managed the CampusWide product line through Y2K compliance.
In 1999, Lowell was named Vice President of CampusWide. In early 2001,
following the acquisition of CampusWide by Blackboard, Inc. Lowell was
selected as the General Manager for the Commerce and Access Solutions
division. |
